No sooner are the holiday decorations packaged away until next year do we start thinking about that all important summer vacation. There are numerous commercials coming your way on TV and magazines in waiting rooms to thumb through touting dream getaway vacations in tropical warm climates, white sandy beaches and warm inviting oceans....not forgetting an umbrella beverage to really get you in the mood…..

So this was the inspiration behind this concept board, a retreat that literally felt like that “green spot in the desert” a peaceful and tranquil space that we all find we need to escape to in our busy daily lives.

A couple of fun ideas incorporated in to this design was the pairing of this decorative white wall molding with a sisal wall covering, made for a particularly modern trendy touch to this already serene design. Accessorizing with some coastal inspired elements like these sea grass nightstands, leather strap wrapped multi-functional bench and chic palm print rug tiles adds further texture and personality to this space. Complementing pillows and a soft comfortable throw makes for a cohesive and cozy spot to relax and dream until you can get to your sunny destination!

Sandringham Philosophy

Interior Design should be an enriching experience that brings joy through the entire process. Too often designers can become rigid with their ideas and leave the client out of some decisions. A designers job is merely to bring a selection of ideas to the table for a client to choose their own tastes and desires. It is the personal relationship you will build with your designer over time that makes the project successful, rewarding and educational too. Our busy daily lifestyles are stressful enough, designing your dream home should not be. A home should represent its owner in both style and spirit, simply painting a few rooms and filling them with furniture falls short of what interior design is all about. The true test of a good designer is their knowledge and ability to bring elegance and creativity to your home by designing spaces that are rich with style yet functional for the entire family.
